Shipping Information

We ship our fermented products unrefrigerated by UPS Ground from Fall through Spring. Our miso is an unpasteurized, living food in continuous fermentation due to its many beneficial, probiotic microorganisms. We ship during the cooler months to minimize expansion and leakage caused by warmth and vibration during shipping.

If some expansion or leakage occurs, this does not affect the quality of the products. Our miso will keep for an unlimited time when refrigerated.

Our current ground shipping dates by state:

Region A

October 1 – May 23
MA, RI, ME, NH, VT, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE,
MD, WV, DC, VA, OH, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN

Region B

October 15 – April 25
TN, KY, NC, SC, IA, ND, SD, NE, MO,
KS, CO, WA, OR, MT, ID, WY, UT
From April 26th to May 23rd, we ship only by UPS 2nd Day Air.

Region C

November 1 – April 25
GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR,
OK, TX, CA, NV, AZ, NM.
From April 26th to May 23rd, we ship only by UPS 2nd Day Air.

Region D

For our customers in AK, HI, and PR: we ship USPS Priority Mail from Oct 15 to April 25. Please contact us regarding shipping costs before placing your order.

We do not ship anywhere between May 23 and Sept 30.

All shipping dates are dependent on weather conditions.
